Happy Earth Day!

Today is Earth day and we're buzzing around teaching local kids the importance of the 3 R's, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. We're handing out 500 pine seedlings to the kids thanks to Plum Creek. Plum Creek is a strong community partner throughout their ownership supporting conservation, the environment, wildlife, community organizations and sustainable forestry. If your interested to learn more about Plum Creek visit their website. Pictures of our fun filled seminars with the kids will be posted later.

Eckert's Family

Mr and Mrs Eckert

Eckert's Greenhouse and Perennials was started in 1957 by Jim and Beatrice Eckert in Royal Oak, Michigan. In 1961 we moved to Sterling Heights, where we celebrated our 50-year anniversary in 2007. While the Eckert's kids grew up everyone pitched in helping with the business.

Today the business is run by second generation Eckert's: Karl the "King" of annuals and Jim heads up the perennials. Our mission at Eckert's is to strive to deliver the best products and services to our customers while keeping up with the current trends and plant introductions. Our commitment is to provide every gardener with the highest quality and selection of plants possible, from the rare and unusual to the preferred and popular.

Have a great day and see you opening day, May 1st!
